And because the model of TEP70 is higher then it have to be, Igor made the cowcatcher lower then it need. I want to make new ones because if I make height according to original TEP70, the caucatcher will slide on the rails.

Swede, I don't know about the old e 151 - it could be with another gears inside.
I use the newone because it has new metall bogies with new plate.
Metal bogies gives litlle additional weight. And I don't want to use Igor's plastic frame because it's plastic. That's why I ordered long Roco metal frame - I want to make something like I did with TEP10 viewtopic.php?f=19&t=10437 (metal frame from Taurus and bogies, motor, plate from BR120/M62)
I will cut the fuel tank from Igor's frame and connect it by glue with metal frame.

So you're going to make a pretty big modification to it. I actually think it works pretty well straight out of the box. And I don't really see the weight as an issue.

About sound - all main sounds will be same with 132 because same engines. But something could be diffrerent - maybe some talks on the station will be in German.

Well, my Piko РЖД ЧМЭ3 has Czech station announcements. But now I know how to fix that. As the decoder I have ordered for the ТЭП70 is specifically for thay locomotive, I hope all the sounds will be correct.

I did notice that the cowcatchers were pretty low on my model, but didn't think much of it as they are still above the railhead. But I didn't think that was the reason for it.

Wow, that sounds wonderful! And that is the BR132 audio file?

Yes.
This sound can be downloaded at ESU. But I changed it. You need to modify a prgram sound decoder (~ 100 €) and a loc programmer (~ 140 €).
Or you have a friend, model railway shop who can program this for you.

I do have a friend who can help me if I need it, but in this case, as I have already ordered a decoder with sound installed, it's not necessary. Except for maybe changing a few settings. If that's possible. I'm not sure, but the friend in question thought the decoder might be "locked" and would require a special programmer to change things.

I have a model railway shop that can help too, but they charge for it.
