this inscription was applied from about the early 80s to 94 on the passenger cars (not RIC) that could travel from USSR to the territory of Poland and Germany.

As I know that there were some red Ammendorf dining cars owned by DR I was just wondering if this was something similar.

There were no Dining cars from Ammendorf by DR, neither red nor green. There were by DR a few cars from Ammendorf that has not been accepted by the SZD and they were used by DR as service cars, not as dining cars.

According to the URL it's an SZD dining car, but it's only marked DR. I thought these sleeping cars might have been the same sort of thing.

This is a russian train on the territory of Poland in the early 90-ies. It is RZD dining car...

So despite it being marked DR, and only running between Brest and Berlin, it's still a Russian car? Confusing.

Can you show me “DR” on this car? A propos, in 90’s exist DR no more))

It's right in the middle, below the windows. I'm on my phone at the moment, so the resolution isn't that great, but last time I checked on my computer it looked like DR to me.

Невероятно но факт - это вагоны-рестораны ДР. Ходили некоторое время в поезде №№ 13/14 Москва - Берлин. Есть даже очевидцы их заставшие. Потом эти вагоны сменили нашими ресторанами выкрашенными в триколор (но это уже в середине 90-х было). Так-же на руках имеется служебка БЕЛ ЖД за 1987-88 годы где на уч-ке Москва - Брест чёрным по белому обозначены вагоны-рестораны МСК а на уч-ке Брест - Берлин обозначены вагоны-рестораны ДР.

p.s. Аббревиатура "DR" находится под подоконным поясом. Год съёмки этого фото, кстати, 1988-й.
